This is a question I had when I started to learn and realise that we really ought to deny our senses when they report something contrary to what we desire .
I had this question because I KNOW that everything we've been given, is for a good reason.
So why give us senses only for us to deny them, I wondered.
Then it occurred to me.
We've had it all backwards all along!
Twisted thinking at its best!
We've been raised to believe that reality is what the senses report.
But that's not the truth!
Truth is, the senses are the outward effect of what is really going on ON THE INSIDE.
The cause for what we see on the outside, is ON THE INSIDE, from our THOUGHTS.
The things sensed by the senses on the outside, are the effects.
Therefore if we then have a desire and what we see on the outside doesn't match that desired outcome, The thing to do is not get fazed and freaked out by what the flesh is saying.
The thing to do is go where the root cause of ALL effect is - THOUGHTS, and change things from there.
THOUGHT persisted upon finds its way to the outside and so the senses eventually submit to, and manifest, and report, the TRUTH.
That's why we are told to:
- Hold fast the vision TIL it manifests, because it eventually will, no matter how long it takes (Bible)
- Persist in your assumption TIL it becomes fact, for any assumption persisted in, hardens into fact (Neville)
- Believe that we receive WHATSOEVER we desire and we shall have (manifest) it.

The Pearl of Great Price: The Kingdom of God.
The Kingdom of God is the Pearl of Great Price - so valuable that once you find it you sell everything you own just so you can obtain it.
According to Neville, 'selling everything you own' means giving up attributing the power in your life to anything external.
For example, rather than attribute your healing to some external force eg drugs, diets and so forth, attribute it to the Pearl of Great Price.
The Pearl of Great Price is the Kingdom of God.
The same Kingdom which if you seek first and his righteousness, ALL THINGS would be added to you. That's how valuable it is.
Do you desire 'All Things'?
Then don't seek 'All Things'.
Seek 'The Kingdom and his righteousness'.
In the Lord's prayer he says 'Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is done in heaven'.
So really you want to find that kingdom.
God's will is done in it.
It's the pearl of great price.
It is WITHIN YOU.
God is a spirit.
The kingdom of god is that spirit , that mind, that soul, WITHIN YOU.
It is a way of describing your thought life aka your imagination.
Therein lies the power to attract ALL THINGS to you.
Therein lies your power to manifest ALL THINGS outwardly.
Don't seek things` first.
"Things" are effects.
Thought is the cause.
Thought (within you) is the kingdom of God for all things are possible to you through the power of thought.
